Improving literacy skills in social care

8 September 2017

To mark International Literacy Day (08 Sep 2017) Skills for Care are urging all adult social care employers to invest in the literacy skills of their workforce.

Literacy is one of the core skills all social care workers need to ensure they can complete everyday tasks such as writing a clear care plan, filling in charts and records and completing qualifications and training.

You can download online learning activities to assess and develop literacy skills in recruitment, induction and ongoing learning and development.
