NCF personnel statistics survey
one of the largest workforce surveys in the care sector
We have undertaken a survey of staff numbers, turnover, recruitment, retention, age profile, qualifications and sickness absence for 13 consecutive years and the report is considered a valuable benchmarking tool. The 2016 report covers more than 68,000 employees, the largest body of staff recorded to date. Our PS reports receive much attention, including a mention in a discussion in the House of Lords!
The main purpose of collecting this information is to help members. In addition we are able to use the findings in our discussions with government departments, regulators and sector bodies to further aid our representation of members and our involvement in initiatives and events aimed at supporting not-for-profit service providers.
Given its importance to ensuring service quality, staffing remains a fundamental issue for care service providers. Faced with continuing austerity and budget constraints, NCF is committed to supporting our members to overcome the challenges ahead.
"Many thanks for this. The report always provides us with some really useful information and is helpful in terms of benchmarking."
