People are the Key

Whether it's our customers, partners or staff - people are at the centre of Manchester Care.

As an established Investor in People Company, we are always looking for ways to improve the way we make this happen – by listening, sharing and valuing the people we care for and work with.

We understand how challenging it can be to work within the Care Industry, so we make a major investment in the learning, development and education programmes we provide to all staff.

We are working hard to develop a culture that acknowledges that we spend significant time at work, therefore we have to get the life / work balance right, and create a work environment that is enjoyable and rewarding.

For the ambitious, the company has an excellent career structure and is committed to developing and supporting those individuals who wish to aspire to more senior positions within the Company.

Innovation, Developments and Future Plans

In 2005 we developed a 108 unit modern Care Home in South Manchester that replaced a number of our older Care Homes in the area and provides a mix of residential and intermediate nursing care facilities. The Peele is an innovative design, and provides a much needed modern and comfortable environment for our service users to live within, and our staff teams to work in.

In 2006, we developed two 60 unit modern new builds in Salford, in partnership with Salford City Council, that replaced our care homes in the local area. One of these homes has a 29 bedded Intermediate Nursing Care unit developed jointly with Salford City Council and Salford PCT.
