< => Care Show Changes Hands

This week has seen the announcement that the highly successful Care Show has been taken over by CMP Media, owners of Caring Business Magazine.

Wave Exhibitions Ltd will continue to manage the October 2006 Care Show with CMPMedica managing the next Care Show in Bournemouth in March 2007. Wave Exhibitions Ltd and CMPMedica will be working closely together during the hand over period to ensure you continue to receive the very best level of service.

Lorne Cheetham, Director of Wave Exhibitions Ltd
"Over the years we have built a dynamic, interactive Care Show which has become an important date in many peoples diaries and I have really enjoyed working alongside so many of you in the industry. CMPMedica is a hugely experienced exhibitions company and as owners of the magazine Caring Business I have every confidence that the Care Show will continue to be a highlight in the industry's calendar for many years to come."

Phil Callow, Head of UK Healthcare Division at CMPMedica
"We are extremely excited to be involved in the Care Show. As publishers of Caring Business magazine we believe that the Care industry is a healthy and vibrant community and are thrilled at the opportunity to continue to develop our commercial partnerships in this area. We look forward to a long ongoing relationship with all of the exhibitors and visitors to the Care Show and we look forward to meeting you all in October at the NEC."

Next Weeks Care Show at the NEC (25-26 Oct) will be the biggest event ever with over 160 exhibiting companies providing innovation, inspiration and stimulation - a massive exhibition packed with hundreds of new products for the care sector.

The Care Show sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland will be officially opened by Ivan Lewis MP who was appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Care Services in May 2006. The opening ceremony and walkabout will take place at approximately 10.15am on the Wednesday 25th October.

The Care Show has joined forces with Celebrity chef, Paul Rankin (above in the whites). Paul will provide culinary guidance and inspiration for the UK's care homes, as part of a new Cookery Demonstration Theatre which is sponsored by Country Range.

Paul, who has made regular appearances on BBC's Ready Steady Cook and Saturday Kitchen, will provide top tips for increasing variety, nutritional content, and fresh local produce within care home menus. The cookery demonstrations will run throughout the two days of The Care Show and are free to attend.

The Care Show, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, will offer care home owners the latest advice, information, free seminars, workshops, and demonstrations of new products and services for the sector. It will also feature the Care Show Conference with a panel of industry experts addressing the sector's most pertinent issues.

*It is free to pre-register for The Care Show. All pre-registered visitors will be given a complimentary breakfast upon arrival. Breakfast includes bacon roll or Danish with a cup of tea or coffee.
