Kate was appointed Chief Executive of Greensleeves Homes Trust in September 2005. Greensleeves is a registered charity which provides residential care services for older people in 16 homes across the Midlands, and the south and east of England.

Before joining the care sector, she worked in the Department of Health and had a varied career working on many high profile policy areas in Whitehall and at regional level as well as gaining grass roots experience in the NHS in an acute trust.

She is also a trustee of Scope, the cerebral palsy charity, and a Board member of Support for Living which provides supported living for people with learning disabilities in West London.
